If Natalia wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Hondo, they should've done a better job of containing Araceli Fernandez. The Owls blew past the Mustangs 3-0 on Friday for which the team can thank Fernandez, who had 16 digs and four aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last eight games she's played.

Hondo was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-19, 25-11.

Natalia's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Liliana Saenz, who had nine digs. Saenz also served an ace, marking her first of the season.

Hondo is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season. As for Natalia, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.

Hondo didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Lytle on the 23rd. As for Natalia, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Cotulla on the 23rd.
