Volleyball Recap: Baker Takes a Loss

Baker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Beatty Hornets. The game snapped a strange streak: the last three times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

While Baker had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-21, 25-19.

Baker's loss dropped their record down to 9-19-1. As for Beatty, their victory ended a nine-match drought at home and bumped them up to 3-12.

Looking ahead, Baker will take on Lee Vining at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Beatty, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Round Mountain at 5:00 p.m. on the 10th.
