Basketball Game Preview: Grand Forks Central Knights vs. West Fargo Packers

Grand Forks Central hasn't had much luck against West Fargo recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Grand Forks Central Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against the West Fargo Packers at 7:15 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Grand Forks Central is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Tuesday. They lost 68-45 to Fargo Davies. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 95th, while the Eagles are ranked 20th).

Meanwhile, West Fargo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 84-52 loss at the hands of Horace.

West Fargo's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Grand Forks Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Things could have been worse for Grand Forks Central, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 70-54 loss to West Fargo when the teams last played back in February of 2024.
