Softball Recap: Canyon Springs Takes a Loss

After soaring to 21 runs the game before, Canyon Springs was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They lost 17-2 to The Meadows School Mustangs. The Pioneers were not able to make up for their loss to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Canyon Springs saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lexi Soto, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Canyon Springs' defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-9. As for The Meadows School, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.

Coming up, Canyon Springs will square off against Boulder City at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Pioneers surely won't give up without a fight. As for The Meadows School, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 23-6 victory against Sunrise Mountain on the 4th.
