Baseball Recap: Riverview Sarasota Takes a Loss

Riverview Sarasota lost against Palmetto back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Riverview Sarasota Rams lost 12-2 to the Palmetto Tigers. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Riverview Sarasota saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Rhymestine, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI Rhymestine has posted since back in April of 2024.

Riverview Sarasota's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Palmetto, their win bumped their record up to an identical 3-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverview Sarasota will square off against Lakewood Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Riverview Sarasota has given up an average of 6.5 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Palmetto, they will face off against Braden River at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
