Volleyball Recap: Jac-Cen-Del Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Jac-Cen-Del can now relate to. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rising Sun Shiners on Saturday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Shiners recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Taylor Swinney paced Jac-Cen-Del's offense, picking up eight kills. Swinney got some help from Brooklyn Simon and her 31 assists. Finally, Brynlie Simon kept Jac-Cen-Del's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Jac-Cen-Del's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Rising Sun, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-13 record this season.

Jac-Cen-Del does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rising Sun, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Trinity Lutheran on the 18th.
