Volleyball Recap: Pinnacle Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Corona Del Sol + How To Watch

Pinnacle faced Corona del Sol in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Pioneers fell 3-1 to the Aztecs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Aztecs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 23-25, 25-13, 25-15.

Emma Minor paced Pinnacle's offense, picking up 12 kills. Minor got some help from Morgan Buhay and her 16 assists.

Avalon Legg was the offensive standout of the match as she had 12 digs and two aces.

Pinnacle's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Corona del Sol, their record now sits at 29-4.

Pinnacle wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Boulder Creek on the 21st. As for Corona del Sol, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Sunnyslope on the 21st.
