Recap: Western Plains/Healy vs. Pawnee Heights Tigers

Western Plains/Healy lost against the Pawnee Heights Tigers back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Western Plains/Healy was dealt a 55-18 loss at the hands of Pawnee Heights.

Davin Hamby was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 steals for Pawnee Heights. That makes it five consecutive games in which Hamby has scored at least 25% of Pawnee Heights' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Clayton Hammeke, who scored 15 points along with four steals.

Western Plains/Healy now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Pawnee Heights, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Western Plains/Healy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Logan/Palco at 4:00 p.m. on January 16, 2024. As for Pawnee Heights, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Minneola at 8:00 p.m. on December 15th. Hopefully Minneola focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Tuesday.
