Softball Game Preview: Chaffey Tigers vs. Chino Cowboys

For the second straight game, Chaffey will face off against Chino. The Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cowboys at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Chaffey has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Chino will arrive with three straight victories.

Chaffey came up short against Chino on Wednesday, falling 11-1. The matchup marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

For Chino's part, the team relied heavily on Samantha Juarez, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Those four RBI gave Juarez a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Angelina Ortiz, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Chino always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Chaffey's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4-1. As for Chino, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
