Basketball Recap: Westland Takes a Loss

After flying high against Marion-Franklin last Monday, Westland came back down to earth. The Westland Cougars lost 58-36 to the Westerville North Warriors on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 68-16 back in December of 2024.

Westland's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Westerville North, their victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-16.

Westland has already played their next game, a 69-12 defeat against Westerville South on the 7th. As for Westerville North, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 56-19 loss against Big Walnut on the 7th.
