Basketball Recap: Chowchilla Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Chowchilla was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 58-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mariposa County Grizzlies. The Tribe were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Grizzlies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Chowchilla's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Mariposa County, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Chowchilla and Dos Palos will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. The Tribe will be up against the Broncos' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Mariposa County, they and Hilmar will face off at 8:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. The Grizzlies' defense better be ready for this one: the Yellowjackets have averaged an impressive 62.6 points per game this season.
