South Salem strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on the Grant Generals with a sharp 10-3 win. The Saxons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Noah Scharer made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. He was even better at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.
