Basketball Recap: Willmar Takes a Loss

After flying high against Mound-Westonka last Saturday, Willmar came back down to earth. The Willmar Cardinals took a 47-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fergus Falls Otters on Thursday. The match marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Willmar's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Fergus Falls, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-3.

Willmar didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-47 victory against Little Falls on the 18th. As for Fergus Falls, they will host Perham at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
