Basketball Recap: Northview Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Northview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 34-26 to the Escambia Gators. The Chiefs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Gators from their previous meeting back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Northview lost, don't look at Daviona Randolph. Despite the final result, she almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine steals. Another player making a difference was MaKayla Plato, who posted no points and four steals.

Escambia found their leader in freshman Arriyonnia Smith, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards. Jakyla Stallworth was another key player, putting up three points and 11 rebounds.

Northview's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Northview will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Milton at 6:00 p.m. on December 2. As for Escambia, they have already played their next matchup, a 59-24 loss against Destin on the 21st.
