Football Game Preview: Neah Bay Red Devils vs. Garfield-Palouse Vikings

The Neah Bay Red Devils will face off against the Garfield-Palouse Vikings at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Garfield-Palouse will be up against a hot Neah Bay squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Red Devils simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Oakville 76-18. The Red Devils pushed the score to 52-18 by the end of the third, a deficit the Acorns had no chance of recovering from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Neah Bay to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tyler Swan, who rushed for 133 yards and four scores on only nine carries. That's the most rushing yards Swan has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Caleb Cummins, who rushed for 120 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Neah Bay was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 365 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 199 rushing yards in six consecutive games.

Neah Bay didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Timothy Secor and Swan.

Meanwhile, Garfield-Palouse faced Inchelium in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Vikings took their contest with ease, bagging an 82-38 win over the Hornets. The Vikings' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Neah Bay's record now sits at 7-2. As for Garfield-Palouse, their record is now 6-4.
