Basketball Recap: Gunn Takes a Loss

Gunn was the 65-63 winner over Palo Alto when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Gunn Titans fell 63-50 to the Palo Alto Vikings on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 734th, while the Vikings are ranked 150th).

Gunn has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Palo Alto, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gunn will host Los Altos at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Gunn is facing Los Altos at the right time seeing as Los Altos is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Palo Alto, they will square off against Milpitas at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Palo Alto's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.
