Football Game Preview: Auburndale Bloodhounds vs. Jones Fightin' Tigers + How To Watch

The Auburndale Bloodhounds will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against the Jones Fightin' Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Auburndale will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Auburndale lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Bartow, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's game. The Bloodhounds blew past the Yellow Jackets 28-6 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Bloodhounds have posted against the Yellow Jackets since September 20, 2019.

Auburndale didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jordan Tarver and Willie Manuel. Elijah Dias was another major factor on D, picking up three sacks and making nine total tackles (5.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Jones, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They enjoyed a cozy 28-14 win over Osceola on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Fightin' Tigers in their matchups with the Kowboys: they've now won four in a row.

Jones' win came from a few key players Auburndale will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Daunte Wallace, who rushed for 77 yards and one score on only nine carries. Tyler Coleman also deserves some recognition as he hauled in his first receiving touchdown of the season.

Auburndale's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Jones, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Auburndale was dealt a bruising 49-7 defeat at the hands of Jones in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Bloodhounds were down 28-7.
