Soccer Recap: Polytechnic Starts Season with Win Against St. Mary's Academy

Polytechnic gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the St. Mary's Academy Belles a 5-0 shutout. Polytechnic have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw St. Mary's Academy, too.

St. Mary's Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2-1.

Looking ahead, Polytechnic will be taking part in a tournament against Escondido Charter at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Mary's Academy, they are taking a road trip to take on Sherman Oaks CES at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
