Longmeadow had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They had just enough and edged out the Walpole Timberwolves 7-6. The victory was nothing new for the Lancers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Longmeadow's win bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Walpole, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 19-6 record.

Looking ahead, Longmeadow will challenge King Philip Regional on Tuesday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Lancers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Walpole does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
