Basketball Recap: Trinity Christian Academy Extends Winning Streak to Ten

Trinity Christian Academy waltzed into their game on Saturday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They really took it to the Coram Deo Academy Rhetoric Lions for the full four quarters, racking up a 90-47 win. With the Warriors ahead 47-15 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Trinity Christian Academy found their leader in freshman Luke Nutt, who went 9 for 12 on his way to 23 points and five assists. Nutt's morning made it 18 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Landon Dyck, who went 6 of 8 en route to 14 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

Trinity Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now racked up at least 21 assists in six consecutive contests.

As for Coram Deo Academy Rhetoric, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Trinity Christian Academy will square off against Faith Lutheran at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
