Basketball Recap: De'queris Gudes Key Part of Team Effort in Hornets Win

Fans were treated to a battle of the Hornets on Saturday. Quitman County came out on top against Pelham by a score of 63-51. This was payback for Quitman County, who suffered a 58-37 loss the last time these two teams met.

Quitman County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but De'Queris Gudes led the charge by putting up 18 points. Jaideon Peterson was another key player, posting 15 points.

The win got Quitman County back to even at 1-1.

Quitman County and Pelham will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Hornets see the court they'll take on Early County at 7:30 p.m. on December 2. As for Pelham, their break will end when they face Calhoun County at 7:30 p.m. on December 2.
