Soccer Recap: El Monte Has No Trouble Against St. Anthony

El Monte's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past the St. Anthony Saints 4-1. With El Monte ahead 3-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Javier Rodriguez and Anthony Armendariz scored all four of El Monte's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

The victory got El Monte back to even at 1-1. As for St. Anthony, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. El Monte is headed away from home for the first time to take on Beckman at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Anthony, they will face off against St. Paul at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
