Football Recap: Morton Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Morton can now relate to. They took a blow against the Pass Christian Pirates on Friday, falling 49-22. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-14.

Paris Trivillion had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 258 yards and two TDs while completing 78.6% of his passes, and also rushing for 54 yards and one score on only five carries for Pass Christian. What's more, Trivillion racked up 159.2 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Pass Christian's leading receiver Dwight Thomas was Trivillion's top target yet again, picking up 113 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Morton's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Pass Christian, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

As of now, neither Morton nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
