Carlos Gonzalez gave up the fewest earned runs he has over his last three games on Wednesday. He turned in nothing short of a gem, pitching four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Taft is 4-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 8-9 otherwise.

Gonzalez's effort led Taft over Lane Tech and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
