Basketball Recap: Payne Tech Comes Up Short

Payne Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 55-39 bruising from the Montclair Mounties. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mounties this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 42-37 back in January.

Payne Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Montclair, their victory bumped their record up to 10-11.

Looking ahead, Payne Tech will host Lawrenceville School at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Montclair, they have already played their next game, a 49-37 win against Hackensack on the 14th.
