Football Game Preview: Portsmouth Abbey Ravens vs. Pingree Highlanders

Portsmouth Abbey is 1-6 against Pingree since September of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Ravens will face off against the Highlanders at 5:00 p.m. Portsmouth Abbey will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Portsmouth Abbey beat St. George's 20-14.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Pingree, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. Everything went their way against New Hampton School on Friday as they made off with a 40-14 win. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Highlanders' disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 145th in Massachusetts, while the Huskies are ranked 50th in New Hampshire).

Pingree now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Portsmouth Abbey, their record now sits at 3-0.

Portsmouth Abbey took a serious blow against Pingree in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 49-0. Can the Ravens avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
