Football Recap: Barnum Starts Season with Win Against Ely/Northeast Range/Vermillion Country

Barnum had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They claimed a resounding 48-0 win over Ely/Northeast Range/Vermillion Country. The Bombers haven't had any issues with Ely/Northeast Range/Vermillion Country recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Logan Charboneau threw for 52 yards on three of seven attempts. Landon Bigelow was his top target, picking up 28 receiving yards. On the ground, Julian Beckstrand rushed for 95 yards and four scores on only nine carries.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Barnum will take on Moose Lake/Willow River at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ely/Northeast Range/Vermillion Country, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against International Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
