Recap: Jamestown Eagles vs. Grafton Clippers
The Jamestown Eagles''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They were beaten by Grafton 62-0. Jamestown lost against Grafton in their previous head to head back in September of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 47-3 score last time.
Luke Bryant had a dynamite game for Grafton, throwing for 285 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 13.0 yards per attempt. Owen Seaford was in the mix as well, providing Grafton with two touchdowns.
Jamestown's loss was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 1.8 points per game. As for Grafton, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jamestown will square off against Warhill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Warhill is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Grafton, they will head out on the road to face off against York at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
