Volleyball Recap: Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Victorious

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy won the last time they faced Virginia Academy and things went their way on Saturday too. The Saints had just enough and edged out the Patriots 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Saints.

Maddie Benes paced Nansemond-Suffolk Academy's offense, picking up seven kills. Benes got some help from Jossy Byars and her six assists. Addy Smith and Miranda Hammond kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Virginia Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Fredericksburg Christian on the 6th. As for Virginia Academy, they will face off against Bishop O'Connell at 5:45 p.m. on Monday.
