Softball Recap: Notre Dame-Green Pond Starts off Right with Win over East Stroudsburg South

Notre Dame-Green Pond had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 14-11 win over the East Stroudsburg South Cavaliers.

Natalie Lilly was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Riley Palank was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Coming up, Notre Dame-Green Pond will square off against Pocono Mountain East at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Stroudsburg South, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge Bangor at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
