Recap: North Fork Miners vs. Rangely Panthers
The North Fork Miners scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They really took it to Rangely for the full four quarters, racking up a 54-13 victory at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win North Fork has managed all season.
North Fork had a senior duo take command as Ryder Hart scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and Henry Hollembeak scored eight points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. Those three blocks set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Moss Inman, who scored 14 points.
Despite the loss, Rangely still got an impressive performance from Clay Allred, who scored nine points along with three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for him.
The victory was the third in a row for North Fork, bringing their record for this year to 5-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.3 points per game. As for Rangely, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Fork will take on Gunnison at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Gunnison has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Rangely won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Soroco at 4:00 p.m. on January 6th. Soroco is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
