Football Recap: Madison Comes Up Short

Madison had lost six straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-8 to make it seven. They were dealt a 70-32 loss at the hands of the Wesclin Warriors. The Trojans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-16.

As for Wesclin, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-4. That 38 point margin sets a new team best for them this season.

Wesclin's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cael Madden led the charge by rushing for 230 yards and six TDs on only 14 carries. Those six rushing touchdowns gave Madden a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of William Waggoner, who rushed for 227 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 carries.

As of now, neither Madison nor Wesclin have any future games scheduled.
