It took its contest against Horicon/Hustisford by a conclusive 47 - 15 score. Lake Country Lutheran made sure to walk the walk to justify being talked up as the big favorite.
No Stoppin 'Em
83. That was the combined point total for St. Catherine's and Martin Luther when they went head to head last week, and it set the benchmark for all power ranking teams. St. Catherine's came out on top against Martin Luther with a 48 - 35 win. St. Catherine's saw its record improve to 12-0 and its power rank jump nine places as a result.
Game of Inches
It doesn't get any closer than a one-point game, and that was the margin of last week's closest contest, which featured thrill-seekers Spencer/Columbus and Westby. Spencer/Columbus can thank its lucky stars for its win over Westby. The final score was a hard-fought 13 - 12. The victory raised Spencer/Columbus up one spot in the power rankings.
Next Week's Big Game
The big showdown in the power rankings this week is between Kimberly (3rd in the power rankings) and Fond du Lac (2nd). Both teams are rolling into the game after last-week wins. Both the Fond du Lac and Kimberly defenses have allowed few points this year (averaging 12 ppg and 12 ppg, respectively), so the teams might find scoring more difficult than usual this week.
