Recap: Dunbar Mightymen vs. Brooks Eagles
The Dunbar Mightymen can now show off 14 landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 74-54 margin over Brooks. Given Dunbar's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 239th, while Brooks is ranked 495th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Brooks still got an impressive performance from Chris Anderson, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Macauri Sias, who scored seven points.
Dunbar has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. As for Brooks, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-24.
Dunbar does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brooks, they will head out on the road to challenge Schurz at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Schurz is on a four-game streak of home losses, Brooks a ten-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
