Spooner extended their postseason success on Thursday against Prescott. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Cardinals 5-4. The win was nothing new for the Rails as they're now sitting on 13 straight.

Annalie Lindgren spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on seven hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Norah Focht was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted over her last 11 matchups. Another player making a difference was Layla Thompson, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Spooner's record now sits at 23-1. As for Prescott, they moved to 19-9 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Spooner will face off against Lomira at 5:00 p.m. on the 12th. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so the Rails' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Prescott does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
