Volleyball Game Preview: Mesrobian Bulldogs vs. Marshall Eagles

The Mesrobian Bulldogs will venture away from home to square off against the Marshall Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Mesrobian came up short against Le Lycee on Monday, falling 3-0. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-20, 25-20.

Marshall had won ten straight games and Harlem Castro did her part to make it 11 on Friday. The Eagles put the hurt on Arroyo with a sharp 3-0 win for which the team can thank Castro, who had eight digs and eight aces. She has been hot, having posted two or more aces the last five times she's played.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Marshall was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-12, 25-15.

Mesrobian's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Marshall, their victory bumped their record up to 15-3.

Mesrobian might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Marshall when the teams last played back in August of 2022. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
