Basketball Recap: Selkirk Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Selkirk hadn't done well against Curlew recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Selkirk Rangers walked away with a 64-51 victory over the Curlew Cougars. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 49-44 back in December of 2024.

Curlew lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jake Olson, who posted 11 points. Luke Doyen was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Selkirk moved to 7-10 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Curlew, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

Selkirk has already played their next matchup, a 77-25 victory against Columbia on the 24th. As for Curlew, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 92-47 defeat against Northport on the 24th.
