Soccer Recap: Cooper City Takes a Loss

Cooper City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 5-2 to the South Plantation Paladins. While losing is never fun, the Cowboys can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 378th, while the Paladins are ranked 137th).

Andrew Chiorean wasn't going to let South Plantation walk away unscathed as he scored both of Cooper City's goals, bringing his season total up to seven goals.

Cooper City's loss dropped their record down to 2-11-2. As for South Plantation, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 5-11.

Cooper City will head out on the road to face off against Nova at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Plantation, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Coral Springs Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Plantation is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
