Baseball Recap: Warren Comes Up Short

Warren came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the McDowell Trojans, falling 12-2. The Dragons have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Warren saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Duncan McGarry, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Warren's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for McDowell, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Warren will be playing at home against Cathedral Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Dragons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Ramblers have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season. As for McDowell, they will venture away from home to take on Fort LeBoeuf at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
