Volleyball Recap: Delta Takes a Loss

Delta lost against Coal Ridge back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Panthers fell 2-0 to the Titans.

While Delta ultimately came up short, they really made Coal Ridge work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 26-24.

Ainhoa Ochoa paced Delta's offense, picking up six kills. Ochoa got some help from Chloe Sharpe and her ten assists.

Delta has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's still a better percentage than their 5-17 record this season. As for Coal Ridge, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

Delta didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Pagosa Springs on the 1st. As for Coal Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Glenwood Springs on the 1st.
