Volleyball Recap: Alameda Comes Up Short

Alameda lost against Denver West back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pirates fell just short of the Cowboys by a score of 2-1. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Liliana Casias paced Alameda's offense, picking up six kills. Casias got some help from Camila Ortiz and her six assists. Jimena Casta?o Velasquez controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Alameda's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Denver West, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Alameda didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Lincoln on the 13th. As for Denver West, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Arvada on the 13th.
