Basketball Recap: Apex Friendship Victorious + How To Watch

Apex Friendship won the last time they faced Lee County and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Patriots came out on top against the Yellow Jackets by a score of 34-22. The score was all tied up 12-12 at the break, but the Patriots were the (much) better team in the second half.

Apex Friendship can attribute much of their success to Jordan Rooney, who posted 17 points and three steals. Those 17 points gave Rooney a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Luwam Beniyam, who scored three points.

The win got Apex Friendship back to even at 1-1. As for Lee County, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Apex Friendship is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Corinth Holders at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lee County, they will face off against Jordan-Matthews at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
