League recap: Jamestown rises, Poquoson falls in league standings

AA Bay Rivers league recap: 3/20/13

Jamestown made the biggest jump in the standings this week, moving from eighth to third place in AA Bay Rivers thanks to a 1-0 record over the past seven days. Meanwhile, Poquoson fell hardest in the standings, dropping from sixth all the way to ninth place after going 0-4 in the past week. York (2-0, 2-0) is the No. 1 team in the league.

The Falcons outpaced the rest of the league this week, as their two total wins led the league. York beat Tabb 10-9.

Lafayette's pitchers have displayed incredible control over the past week and all season, giving up just one walk over the past seven days and one on the year, both No. 1 in the league.

Warhill's Micheal Brumfield struck out eight the Islanders hitters en route to a 6-4 victory on March 15. Over seven innings of work, he gave up eight hits and four runs.



Solomon Mccray, Iii drove in seven runners as the Rams defeated Bruton 18-2 on Friday. He went 3-for-4 and scored three runs.
