Baseball Recap: Kentlake Sets Scoring Season-High Against Liberty

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kentlake). They came out on top against the Liberty Patriots by a score of 7-4 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.

Kentlake let Christopher Moore and Liam Lynch run wild. Moore scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Lynch scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Lynch a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Jacob Lawrence, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Kentlake was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Kentlake's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Liberty, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Kentlake will take on Enumclaw at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Enumclaw's pitching crew has only allowed 1.1 runs per game this season, so Kentlake's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Liberty, they will square off against Redmond at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
