Basketball Recap: Ian Neumann Key Part of Team Effort in Falcons Win

After losing to Bradley Knights the last time they met, Rocket City decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Falcons came out on top against Bradley Knights by a score of 71-62 on Saturday. While the Falcons didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-22), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rocket City to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ian Neumann, who shot 90% from the field en route to 23 points. Another player making a difference was Philip Borchers, who almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine assists.

The victory made it two in a row for Rocket City and bumps their season record up to 6-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.5 points over those games. As for Bradley Knights, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Rocket City will face off against Varsity Opponent at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bradley Knights, they will square off against Oakwood Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
