Volleyball Recap: Bishop Watterson Has No Trouble Against West

Bishop Watterson had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt West on Thursday. The Eagles blew past the Cowboys 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Bishop Watterson was: they took every set by at least 18 points. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-7, 25-4.

Their offense was headlined by Molly Johnson and Emma Steele, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Maeve Boyle and her 15 assists. She also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Maddie Lane, each putting up six.

Bishop Watterson now has a winning record of 12-11. As for West, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.

Looking ahead, Bishop Watterson will be taking part in a tournament against Jonathan Alder at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Pioneers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. West does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
