Volleyball Recap: Rancho Solano Prep Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Rancho Solano Prep had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Madison Highland Prep Heat. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Rancho Solano Prep took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-15, 25-15.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rancho Solano Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bree Howard, who had six digs and two aces. What's more, Howard posted three assists, the most she's had since back in November of 2024. Amaya Sugidono also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Rancho Solano Prep was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 20 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in six consecutive matches.

Rancho Solano Prep's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Madison Highland Prep, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Rancho Solano Prep has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Chandler Prep on the 11th. As for Madison Highland Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Antelope on the 10th.
