Sto-Rox extended the longest winning streak in WPIAL A Big Seven this week by beating Laurel, 28-17. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Vikings.

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart led the league in scoring this week after putting up 49 points on Rochester. Joseph Sebes threw for 46 yards and 3 touchdowns during the win.

Tom Marra provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Chargers defeated the Rams. Marra's key target this week was Nicholas Metz, who caught 3 passes for 39 yards.

Sebes and Marra gave Our Lady of the Sacred Heart a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Joseph Serventi also contributed to the rushing game with 120 yards on the ground.

Thanks to the talents of Ernie Burkes and Eli Owens, Neshannock has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Burkes is tops in the league in passing with 805 yards, while Owens has rushed for 1,024 yards this season. Tops in the league in receiving yards is Bill Daniels' team's Metz, with 328 yards on 18 catches.

An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Union Area takes on the Lancers. The Scotties are in fifth place, while Neshannock is in second place.
