Football Recap: Lancaster Comes Up Short

Lancaster played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Camden Bulldogs, falling 43-21. While losing is never fun, the Bruins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 20th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Camden to victory, but perhaps none more so than Navier Boykin, who rushed for 91 yards and a pair of scores on only eight carries. Greyson Rimpf was another key signal caller, throwing for 216 yards and three touchdowns on only 19 passes.

This is the second loss in a row for Lancaster and nudges their season record down to 2-7. As for Camden, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Lancaster didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 36-7 defeat against York on the 31st. As for Camden, they have also already played their next game, a 40-28 loss against A.C. Flora on the 30th.
