Preview: Parkway South vs. Mehlville
After two weeks on the road, Parkway South is heading back home. On Friday they take on Mehlville at 7:00 PM. Parkway South come in off of four low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the squad is obviously eager to reverse.
We expected Parkway South to have trouble with the significantly higher ranked Rockwood Summit last Friday, and they did. Parkway South found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 10-42 punch to the gut against Rockwood Summit. Parkway South's loss continues a disappointing trend for the team, making it four losses in a row.
Meanwhile, Mehlville were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They steamrollered Riverview Gardens 44-8.
Mehlville's victory lifted them to 5-2 while Parkway South's defeat dropped them down to 1-6. We'll find out if Mehlville can add another positive mark to their record or if Parkway South can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Mehlville's step.
